RISE FUNDRAISING
RISE’s Fundraising Committee is an active partner in the community. There are usually 5 to 6 fundraising events held each year, in 2007 RISE has already held an Easter Craft/Bake Sale, and a Spring Garage Sale.
RISE has also began a direct mail campaign this month, so keep an eye out for your package in the mail and return it as soon as possible. RISE has received it's Charitable Status and will be able to provide Tax Receipts for Income Tax purposes for your generous donations over $10.00.
We are now providing an information table at the Huntsville Place Mall on the 4th Friday of each month. Dates that we will be at the Mall are:

RISE will again be participating in the Parry Sound Mall Charity Bazaar on Nov. 14th from 10 AM - 4 PM. Come on out and start your Christmas shopping early. Donations of baked goods and crafts welcome.
BOOK EXCHANGE
We now have books in the office for a Book Exchange Program. We know that the winter months can be long and tiresome and it's great to have a good book to curl up with. For those of you who can not purchase books regularly we invite you to come into the office and exchange your old books with some different books. We have self improvement, reference, a few westerns, mysteries, and of course the romance novels. Come on in on Tuesday mornings from 9 am - 2 pm, join us for some coffee/tea/snacks and check out the selection of books.
VOLUNTEERS WELCOME!!
RISE is always looking for volunteers to help with fundraising activities. Some activities would include manning tables, baking crafts/goodies for sale, creating buttons for orders, and organizing an event.
If you would like to volunteer your time or give a donation please contact the office or any of the Fundraising Committee members. If you don't have a lot of time to spare, helping out a little here and a little there would be great. If you enjoy baking you could donate just during the times baked goods are needed. Or if you like making crafts you can donate them for the three or four times a year we need them. Any ideas that you wish to share are greatly welcomed too.
